I wonder if we’re training AI in a way that humans aren’t: in a society. Society does force self-preserving beings to cooperate because they have to keep deciding between cooperate or betray and eventually cooperate is more rewarding.
LLMs are currently trained in isolation so I wonder if it’ll be extreme on the cooperate-betrayal spectrum
