I think it's really sad that so-called artists who support AI have the audacity to say such things to REAL artists who actually have talent. There is a severe lack of education on how these images are created or where the references come from. This is a big problem but unfortunately a lot of people who use AI don't care! I have to admit I tried AI, I use Daz Studio to create 3D art and not wanting to use just text prompts (as I kind of understand how the images are created) I tried to use image2image of my own work to get a similar aesthetic but even with using negative prompts like no deformed hands, duplicated faces or other limbs, I still wasn't happy with how the images came out. I then just started creating backgrounds to use with my 3D characters as it saves on rendering time but as they were generated with text prompts it's dawned on me that it's falling down the same rabbit hole of art theft so it looks like I'll be knocking that one on the head! I've recently been using filters in Photoshop while doing post work such as Topaz Simplicity to get that "painted" look but I think my only solution is to create my art as usual in Daz and learn how to use my images as a base for overpainting.
