first they over hired to deny 'talent' to the competition by putting them into 'waste of time' (WoT) jobs. Now that they think they can do away with humans, by using AI copy-paste machines, they threw them all out at the same time, they were going to save billions by spending more billions on bigger, 'better' AI copy-paste machines, but new jobs emerge; need skilled humans to babysit the AI, overall cycle is slower and more expensive.
Meanwhile the money is getting wasted on faster LLMs and bloatware that can't be fixed.
