ai these days isnt about enjoyment or ease or anything concerning workflow or whatever other copes these people have come up with. it's just greed mixed with laziness, many of these ai "artists" are there to get quick paychecks/clout for something they didnt have to make, possibly using that as a springboard to a position they dont deserve. Makes you wonder how many people out there who have jobs in writing are just as undeserving as those who use ai art to win competitions.
