I like to use AI as a little toy to cure boredom, generate wacky text, amalgamated images that are SOOO far out of proportion from the original vision, this video reminded me of one time: One time, my friend was trying out ghibi filters on images, and I gave him permission to use my profile picture with my OC. What came out didn't look bad, in fact it was very whimsical to see my character drawn in such a way, but it felt soulless, it didn't bring me the hapiness I'd get when seeing commisioned art, it felt wrong, which is why I outright refused to make it my new profile picture, it was an insult to all animators and artists that unwillingly fed it, to the thousands of hours of work behind the learning and drawing process. Normal art has me questioning why certain details were added, what was the thought of process behind certain choices, like eye candy! But knowing each detail is randomly generated takes away all the magic, more like eye poison. AI art is just soulless and extremely sloppy, it's in my opinion the most lethal and agressive type of brainrot, I see my little sister watching these bizarre fetish AI slop without even knowing all the context behind it, and it makes me sad. The 2010s kids were raised with actually animated shows, great content creators, but content creation is dead. You can just go on Youtube and find cashgrab fetish neon "cartoony "animations"" luring children in, go on facebook and find grandmas believing a picture of Jesus with 6 fingers saving a puppy is real. No matter how much AI advances in the future, which is bound to, it will never capture the human essence that goes into each piece of art, no matter how bad or weird it looks. Thanks for reading all the way through my AI venting, this video really expresses my thoughts behind this new technology.
