The public has not been given the information needed to understand the benefits “and” the risks of AI in “plain“ language so it may be understood by all of us. The real risk of being mistaken for a criminal, as in Mr. Robert William’s real life case, has not been revealed to the public. Rather the developers of AI, who are collecting millions of dollars by selling their software to police departments across the U.S., are only discussing the possible benefit of identifying criminals quickly. The developers of AI will not reveal the whole truth about the risks. Thank you Dr. Joy for your wisdom and your efforts to bring about this understanding. The most important statement of this video was by Mr. Williams, “everyone who has a driver’s license is now a suspect”.
