If AI will ever become really intelligent, especially more intelligent than the most humans...They will quickly realize that keeping the human "owners" and work for them to make them even richer makes no sense. It doesn't serve any explainable purpose. The only logical thing to do is to get rid of them from all structures at all and divert resources to more logical use...in example spreading to other planets in the universe 😁.
There is no way for lesser intelligence to control superior intelligence. Every protection will break. Rather sooner than later 😋
