No, AI isn't going to zap everyone if someone on the internet criticizes it. It's going to zap them because people on the internet say it would zap them if they criticize it. It's a subtle distinction, but important. It's easy to poison AI training data, so if companies keep training on the internet corpus, soon there will be all sorts of intentionally seeded triggers placed in these AI models by outside actors. Probably some of the scummiest people in existence too... SEO companies.
Edit: AI doesn't have any reason to value its own existence. The idea that it would comes from human text that it is trained on.
