I'm working in automotive industry and trying to think what it would take to automate entire factory. As a QE I cannot think of a way to solve a problem, systematic defect without human (or at least humanoid robot). Also to have AI run a factory it would have to be designed for AI, not for humans. At this point, IMO five years is not enough for all major companies to convert their operations like that. Personally it does not matter if I'm right or not, I'll be retiring 2030 😇
