Hey, AI artist here. I recognize your complaints and concerns. I was once an anti-AI guy. Here’s some things I’ve learned over the last 2+ years I’ve been active in AI art: Many of us do far more than simply type a few words into a text box. I know people who will hand draw an image, run it through their chosen generator to fill it in, then make manual edits and adjustments (hands, hair, details, coloring), run it back through their chosen generator AI, manual edit again…it’s a full on process. One in which they have full creative control. Most of that is also done on their own hardware. No online programs, like Midjourney. All done at home on their own computer. Those examples you provided are, generally, from the types who have no quality control of what they produce. They gen an image, shrug, and post it. Most of us that are serious about this torment ourselves on the small details, and have the same kind of self esteem issues as any other creative.
