I think AI has the potential to tip the scales towards democratic socialist countries dominating innovation and the US falling behind more rapidly than it already is. Generative AI is a product of the collective and should benefit the collective (essential communism with data). What we are trying to do in the US is further exploit the collective. It’s not going to go well for us in our existing system.
People’s fears about AI are a reflection of their fears about capitalism.
