Great point! I’ll say this. Growing up I loved writing, and I still do! I think it’s a perfect vessel to spill out all of your emotions and feelings and thoughts. It’s just that not everyone has a lot of time to spend writing an entire novel. Also, ChatGPT helps those who want to write a story, but maybe can’t communicate how they feel into words. This is totally fine, but it’s important to remember that if you publish a book written by ChatGPT, you’re not the writer of said book, AI is. That’s why so many people get upset about AI novels, because it takes away from the true craft and love of writing out words yourself. As much as I appreciate AI for helping me write, I would much rather read a story written by a real person with real life experiences and emotions. If you’re going to publish a book written by AI, I think that at the very least you should make that part clear at the beginning, as to not take away from the artists that spend countless hours de. With that being said, for those of you who use ChatGPT to write books, I don’t want to discourage you. In fact, I want to encourage you to make an effort to write your own material. The prompts that you give ChatGPT, the little details and twists and turns and ideas in between the AI’s responses…THAT’S true writing, because in those brief moments YOU are the one writing out the story, not AI. If you like doing this, maybe you should consider trying to write your own book! Hope this helps ❤
