"Remember that new form of life that is being created that is aggregating all human knowledge and being developed to make sure when the human race dies out that we leave some sort of legacy? Yeah let's sabotage it, and let's sabotage it in a way so that when people ask what my art looks like it thinks it looks like complete garbage and ruins my reputation." Like it's such a weird, envious sort of mental gymnastics to justify hating on and sabotaging AI. If you like drawing and sharing your art, AI isn't going to stop you from doing that .. but you're lying, because really what you mean to say is that you like making money off of your art and getting recognition and praise for it, because if you were doing it for yourself it wouldn't matter to you what other people think or that you can't produce as much or as good as an AI, to the point you have to sabotage it so that it doesn't surpass you. And to do that you are compromising your own artistic vision and letting an AI make changes to your work so that other AI can't learn from it. Do you not see the obvious hypocrisy? Idk why I ask, it's not like anyone cares if they are a hypocrite. You're acting like the only reason someone would want AI to draw for them is because they are lazy.. except plenty of people lack the motor control necessary to draw like you do. Some people can't draw at all. But they can make their ideas come to life with AI. Or well, they could have, before people like you decided you cared more about getting paid than allowing accessibility in your hobby, which isn't really a hobby but a career and is clearly not something you do solely for your own enjoyment. The fact is you can do these silly tricks but all it is going to do is make it so that the people who can take the time and money to train their own AI will be able to get more rich off AI while the people who lack the resources or skill to do that will be stuck with broken garbage. It's not like AI is preventing you from drawing. It doesn't stop you from doing it. But some people would like to create art without spending their whole lives practicing a skill they might not ever be able to do that could be taken away at any moment if they lose the use of their hands, or they might be like me and have already lost the use of their dominant hand and have no hope of ever being able to draw. What should someone like me do instead? Pay someone to make it and hope they make it exactly how i want it and put up with endless revisions and the fact I have no money to give them? It is like the argument against deepfakes and AI music.. when have you been tricked into thinking some celebrity wrote a song that they didn't or that someone you knew had a deepfake made of them and people believed it was real? The fact is the lack of deepfakes just makes the presence of one harder to claim as fake. If there were deepfakes flooding everything then someone could have legitimate naughty pictures of them leaked and have plausible deniability against it, whereas the current situation that is completely ridiculous and unbelievable even though the technology is there. Not to mention nothing beats the age old trickery of make up and movie magic and lookalikes. But seriously people believed songs were by artists that didn't create them for all of human history up until the past 5 or 10 years. People got all sorts of credit misattributed, especially during the early days of TV and early internet.. and let's not forget the hilarious hypocrisy of the constant use of sampling in music and fan art in art, as well as using the same chords for ages and similar art styles to the extent that art is completely categorized. Whereas a well-trained AI can identify if Raphael or someone else drew one face in one of his artworks, people are lobbying to make them dumber and make them worse instead of making them better and introducing some sort of control or "guilt" on part of the AI. But the fact is with this bonehead scheme, all it will do is make it so that if they do introduce copyright detection in AI where one could potentially detect when your artwork is copied or functionally stolen by an AI creator and prevent people from doing that, now it won't be able to do that and your art style will be completely indistinguishable from anyone else using this garbage to compromise their artistic vision. Like the only thing you got right is that the answer is more AI, but instead you decided the answer was to create bad looking art and act like it's yours instead of pushing AI creators to actually introduce safeguards into their creations. It also ignores the fact that you completely undercut the whole point of doing this by creating a video and advertising it to the one segment of the population who would deliberately steal your art and pass it off as your own, which is a weird obsessed stan who would obviously see this, and all it will have done is make it so that regular AI's are worse at making art that doesn't copy yours hurting anyone using it for accessibility reasons, while giving someone trying to get rich off imitating you complete supremacy by being the only one able to do it if they took a couple hours to go through your art and separate out all the compromised images and train their own model based on your works. It hasn't really solved any problems, it just created new ones for the people you are gatekeeping from your hobby because they are disabled who might have never even heard of you and have no intentions of directly copying anyone's work or "stealing" anyone's art style.
