AI is dependent on data. AI knows only that much what humans have created till now. Humans have done inventions using physics and maths. Humans research based on an idea that comes to the human brain. If the human brain stops producing data, AI will stop, AI can't have ideas that humans have and created inventions. AI will always be behind humans because only humans can create new data.
How AI will make a mistake in a chemistry practical that led to great inventions like new particles in the elements table etc. only humans can do that.
