So if AI does not take 90% of the programmer jobs, maybe it will be 75%, or 65%. Either way it is a giant blow to employment. Before computers a lot more engineers were needed because everything was hand calculated with slide rules. Computers come in and a fraction of the engineers are needed. Used to be most people lived on a farm, now few do because of technology. So AI will take away massive amounts of jobs, don't be in some fantasy world and think it won't.
