To me, he's just an ordinary doctor who's desperate to be a professor and scare the masses because it's the only free advertising. He doesn't give a single speech to rally his friends to a project to protect the masses from this AI. All he does is spread fear. To me, he's a Russian agent connected to the Orthodox Church, and worst of all, the US is protecting him. How on earth is his bio so modest? We don't know when he arrived in the US (the main issue), who his doctoral supervisor was, etc. No AI team, whether OpenAI, Gemini, or Colipot+Github, has taken him on because they don't need a guy who demonizes everything. He could have been an egg vendor at a market stall. The doctor would like to be Ken Thompson, but he can only dream :). Spreading fear to attract attention is what social media, along with mass media, does brilliantly. Instead of uniting scientists to counteract this, they spread fear. Those who spread fear perish by fear. Amen. AI alignment is a topic that looks good in articles and sounds great in discussion panels, but in reality, it's largely philosophy, not engineering. Lots of theory, few hard tools. It's a bit like medieval debates about the nature of angels – fascinating, but without practical application. "If you're a specialist, why didn't you create an antivirus program that protects your computer from AI boots :), because they'd be kicked out of a closed-off pseudo-scientific society, and that's it." :) That's the truth. A lot of nonsense doesn't help much. Articles won't improve people's awareness, because he doesn't teach them how to deal with it; he just scares them, which will be like training them :) (i.e., Agent, as a joke). How many former Cybercrime Agents do we have? They created Avira, Bitdefender, AVAST, etc. :) from Czechs to Slovaks, Romanians, etc., even McAfee, and that patent lazybones hasn't done anything :).
