I'm not a actual full-time artist but I do make some stuff here and there. The stuff I make I make for myself alone and occasionally post it online for the world to see.
I don't care if people or AI steal it, remix it, etc, but monetizing that theft does sting a bit.
AI companies will also end up centralizing wealth and power through said monetization which is very bad.

I feel like people abuse the word soul and call all real works SOVL even when they have none.
Some works have soul, others don't, and that's ok. The ones I keep coming back to, though, are filled with soul, but that doesn't mean other works are valueless.
Also, if real humans (and not corporate lizards) are in charge of AI they can still produce soul by using it as a tool rather than a slave.

I'm a programmer and I don't see my job disappearing any time soon as some stuff can be too complex for AI. On the topic of hedonism, I've been there before when I was a NEET and it was hard getting motivation for anything, be it programming, gaming, making art, leaving the room, so I don't really see a bright future in case jobs disappear.
