No, junior jobs will not go away. The threshold for juniors will increase in conjunction with AI. For example, I’m a web developer. I am an intermediate level coder who can now write senior level code. Likewise, juniors can write intermediate level code and learn much faster. They can train on their own and open up new opportunities. It’s what I did. My skills increased exponentially when chatgpt came out.
The solution might be to train oneself in prompting. We can now compete with larger companies on our own. It’s what I’m doing.
