11:50 The plan I think is to build the software now, where the AI is not good enough (yet) to make an entire good software with good looking UI, designs and creativity (like basically everything that makes a software standout). The way a typical half vibe coder or a none vibe coder would go about this is: make a good software using AI to do the coding, and then they'll design the UI on their own and maybe sprinkle in some creative ideas to make their website standout. The AI is really only there to make the boring coding part easier. The reason why it would be valid to still be in this field despite knowing that most software engineers will be replaced by AI is because, as of right now, you still have a chance to make good software, sell it, gain reputation and then continue to earn the money 10 years from now, even if by then, AI will be taking over and producing apps within an hour or something. The point is that you already have an app that's been there for 10 years and earned huge reputation... and people would choose something with reputation than something new that they know is built by some 100% vibe coder who probably didn't bother to actually code. They definitely won't be creating their own app and using it either, because again... reputation kinda trumps all that. It's more convenient to make your own apps without needing to pay for it... but you don't know if there will be bugs or maybe the UI doesn't look good or it just crashes every now and then. Sure, software engineering won't be existing in the future... but the apps do. I don't think anyone's gonna switch away from the popular apps we're already using now (Reddit, Youtube, X, etc..) to anything new that some vibe coders might build in the future, simply because these apps already have reputation advantage + the fact that the consumers know that teams of multiple professionals actually took time to create each of these apps... whereas people are gonna know that any app that's gonna be made in the future (where true software engineering doesn't exist anymore and everyone in the field is a pure vibe coder) will be made using AI.
TLDR: People still choose to be developers now even though they think that their field will be replaced by AI in the future because they still have opportunity to cash in now and maybe still continue on in the future if their app gains a lot of good reputation right now.
