Honestly, on this topic I sit towards the middle. But if AI had a huge reduction in funds right now that'd be a good thing. Big companies would have a bunch of expensive assets on their hands and would be forced to find a way to make it cost less, since otherwise they'd just have lost a bunch of money because of AI. I believe AI WILL become something big in the future, so it sucking our power grids dry is the last thing I want. (Big companies could use a bit of humbling too, they really think we can be bought with Llamas in a pool lol. I want this really powerful tech to go to something valuable.)
