I knew GPT is predictive, the problem is law is more interpretative. ChatGPT can't take decisions, only give a logical prediction on a possible response to your input, but a logical response is not a real response.
I got some problems too when I ask by some technical information, the answers look ok, but when you try to find any reference is not. Because is predictive I think just predict a reasonable response but you never trust without check the references, since ChatGPT is outdate any fake information could be in his database.
