One emotion humans can program into robots is respect, that way no matter what we do to them they won’t care.
With this emotion programmed into a robot we would also have to be better as a species to earn it, win win in my book (unless you feel consciousness is more of a burden than a gift) personally I don’t feel that way but, your not wrong if you disagree.
