I personally hope that given how disillusioned most millennials and Gen Z are with the late capitalist hellscape that created the culture of generative AI, I’m hoping that the culture that produced it will die, leaving illustration to continue as a profession and practice. Maybe I’m naive but I know very few people who like generative AI and most people I know who do aren’t exactly the most socially conscious people.
