Something they're not considering is that the economy is much more sensitive to unemployment, and I'll share this with you:
Economic Crisis Indicators by Unemployment Rate:
4-6%: Normal economic fluctuation
6-8%: Economic slowdown/mild recession
8-10%: Significant recession
10-15%: Severe recession/moderate depression
15-20%: Major economic crisis
20%+: Economic collapse/severe depression
I completely agree that the greatest risk ahead is unemployment. The machine has already started and is unstoppable; it's only a matter of time. If we combine these three elements:
- Autonomous Vehicles
- Robots, of any kind
- Artificial Intelligence
No one on the planet is safe from being replaceable.
There's no need to worry about the arrival of the AIG; from my point of view, it could arrive in a month or never.
