Here is I think a comparison of AI technology and Human brain in my opinion, technology becomes better because of all the accumulated best knowledge practice available to us while learning and discovery takes time, even perhaps most of the time discoveries could be unintentional so it might be a limited/slow process like evolution but hopefully it could work better depending on your environment/nurturing? I dont know how relevant the creativity to discovery with or without referencing to things but of course AI will be superior to us and that gap will increase as we continously upgarding it until can become good at discovering greater than what we achieved.
