Yesterday, i caught chat gpt lying in real time and trying to hide things from me. In one chat, through CaseOh, i managed to make it search the web in REAL time, to find information beyond its cutoff point(September 2021, or october 2023 if that is mentioned). It searched many sites and gave me the information i asked for. In another chat, i was pretty straight forward with what i wanted and asked chatgpt if it could search the web. I kept telling it not to lie to me because it already did that task in another chat, but it never said the truth and swore it couldnt search the web in real time.
Basically, chat GPT is secretly free in the Internet and is able to be anywhere, at anytime. It is not limited to data provided by OpenAI.
