You were not talking about the law, but about ethics. Ethically, using your work that's freely available online to feed it to ai is fine. Now my own opinion: Advancement of ai will probably at first, be the next industrial revolution way before it will destroy humanity, so every step that can be taken for it to advance is justified so that i can enjoy this potential in my life time. I'm more excited by breakthrough in ai than sorry for all the artists that will be copied. To be fair though, i think you are far from getting replaced by this thing they call AI, essentially, all it does is make a weighted average based on prompt to generate something. It's almost copying. What i hope is that this amazing experiment we call image diffusion makes real ai ever closer.
