You had me up until the idea that we might turn schools into glorified day cares with kids watching AI slop non-stop.
I think that minor detail was included to drum up the severity of what might happen and is not an essential detail.
That being said, here's what I think the correction is:
Schools would likely attempt to adapt to the fast-changing climate of the world and provide education geared towards those needs (And would be many years behind as always 💀). Yes, part of education is preparation for the key skills that companies want, but there is a huge emphasis on holistic and well-being education as well.
However, this wouldn't change the climate at home, which I believe has a better chance of mimicking what you said would happen in school.
