Honestly, I think the biggest strength of AI art will be for those who do know how to do art on their own; it will make it faster, and it will help with auto-completions (which ideally will be easily undone when they're inevitably wrong, but which at least help shape the background).
For those of us who suck at art, the ability to use sketches and inpainting allows for better than we could otherwise do, but it's still not going to be as good as what an actually skilled artist can pull off with their own abilities, let alone the same tools.
