Generative algorithms like ChatGPT and the image makers and whatnot are definitely being boosted by corporate overlords looking to cut costs. Their whole goal is to be able to make content without having to pay an expert or having to pay less of them. That is definitely the main $$ behind all this and why it is everywhere right now. Despicable for sure. But the useful idiots on the frontline are the AI Bros in comment sections and Twitter replies. And I think the excuses AI bros give are all just a smokescreen. I think the truth is apparent with the despicable Shadiversity. He has a very very high opinion of himself. And when he generates a billion images of his wife as Supergirl in a generative program. He doesn't say "Here's some images DALLE generated" or whatever. He says "Here's art I made." And that's what it is. They want to be seen as artists. They believe they deserve to be highly praised artists. But they don't want to have to put in the work or be humbled by the failures that would take to achieve. That's what all of this is about. As for summing up the texts from friends and family or even coworkers... that's absolutely repugnant. I saw a reddit thread where someone was complaining her friend was mad at her for using ChatGPT to write the maid of honor speech and it was shocking how many people were defending this person. People who want to talk to you want to be talking to YOU. Not the statistically most probable thing a person would have written in ChatGPT's database!
