I like Bern's intentions but I think that adoption and acceptance will be too slow, we need an even MORE RADICAL shift, because one thing is certain is that whoever controls AI first (super intelligence tier, or even AGI, whatever that means these days.) will essentially be unchallenged masters of earth. At the end of the day whoever owns it, will carry out it's will without sentience in the picture, at least for a period.
We need to assume that everyone eventually needs access, with transparent moderation to prevent chemical weapons and other disasters from happening, but other than those factors we need to assume scarcity will not exist and anticipate the acceleration with as much fairness as possible without muting significant amount of the population.
Economy as we know it, will be outdated or it will poison us with many unnecessary deaths. We need to assume abundance because likely interstellar travel progress will accelerate too, if we apply acceleration and assume it effects everything we know already.
