They could have simply used one of many images they already have, but no, they used AI. In fact, it probably takes less time to find the artwork than to get AI art. If you weren't familiar with the company, it looks really bad, especially for one focused on creativity.
I don't think people would have said much if it was something like a local bakery shop.
