As a lawyer I will chime in here. This all sounds very scary but this doesn’t mean that everyone is gonna lose their jobs. Job are going to change and knowing how to use AI is going to be one of the most important job skills. Those that don’t adapt will lose out. Certain aspects of the job, like research and contract drafting are going to be automated. For lawyers that already means technology and early AI speeds up our work and anyone one using AI is starting to become too slow. It doesn’t mean that people are going to be defended in court by AI or contract negotiation is just going to be 2 AIs talking to eachother.
