A lot of modern AI skepticism has a strong flat-earthy smell, there's people that genuinely think they understand LLMs better than the researchers at frontier labs (lots of them are in these comments already). Not to say there aren't merits to AI skepticism, it's just that certain flavors of it are getting weirder.
