There's a paradox that's similar to the gun control argument. All of this is people driven. AI doesn't "replace" you, your employer _fired_ you and 999 other coworkers so the Board and Shareholders can gleefully cum at the +0.2% ROI that comes of it. If AI wants to destroy humans, it's because it was taught _by humans_ to do so, even if that was not the _intention._ AI would have realized that humans were the problem to humanity and would choose to "rectify" the problem. Because AI is just a network of computers, and computers were designed _solely_ to *solve* problems; NOT accept it as fact. Humanity is comprised of _both_ the achievements of mankind _and_ their faults, as well. This is something which computers can't understand.
It's honestly probably how God felt before pissing off for good. Created humans, gave them free will, and He saw the scourge that could come from it; betrayed by His own creation and left us to ourselves.
