Mike said here exactly what I've been saying these past few months - if the current bulk of writers are worried about AI taking their jobs, it's clear that the output of these writers is reasonably replaceable by AI, regardless of the nascent state of the AI in question doing the replacing. I'm a software programmer and machine learning was part of my curriculum for my bachelor's in computer science, so I know a bit about how the sausage is made. It's one thing to use AI as an auxiliary tool to help writing if the overwhelming majority of the creative portion of the writing is done by a human, but as a recent Valliant Renegade video showed it's clear that writers think AI is good enough to start doing more of the writing _and_ studios think AI is nearly good enough to start replacing a number of humans in the writing room. Can't say current AI deepfaking is good enough to outright replace humans on the acting side yet, though, but that might be more a "resource budget" issue than an "actor's performance" issue at this point.
