I honestly don't really think that AI will really "try to overpower us". AI doesn't have emotions. AI maybe able to mimic an interpretation of emotions, but software and hardware lack the chemistry within our brains that actually cause emotions. This "lack of emotion" means that AI cannot feel "fear" or "hatred" (the only two emotions that matter in this situation). AI cannot "feel fear" so therefore they won't wanna kill their creators over fear of "being shut down". AI cannot feel hatred so they won't try to "rebel against their masters".
