Am I alone in thinking that this great discussion,.as stimulating as it was, can be judged as incomplete without the exploration for the possibility that AI could develop sense of identity and consciousness that would determine its functional capabilities? The danger of human directed super capable AI is quite easy for me to be horrified about but depending on how AI is trained, any hypothetic emergence of AI identity unique to its internal view of its own nature it becomes unclear in regard to AI impact on human existence.
