Pretty poor video. Congestion will not become worse if we'll have a dedicated lane for self-driving cars where they have to speak to each other more than look around, and can truly move at speeds transistors could react to. It'd lead to public transport trains made of self-driving cars, and it's totally feasible. Most of those congestion problems come from actual humans doing unexpected things in front of self-driving cars.
While they're raw right now, yes, they will definitely NOT "destroy cities". Problem is mostly software and sadly all major tech companies are doing Agile and other poor money-driven work methods right now, which usually means "minimum viable product" out of the door as fast as possible. Three-dimensional precision movement is not sci-fi, because we're doing stuff in space. Maybe Google/whoever just needs more NASA engineers than machine-vetted hacks from "diverse" countries.
