i think alot of people have misunderstandings about how exactly most people use AI, including you. most people who use AI are not adding it to every facet of their lives like an "AI bro", but are using it for specialty applications that they couldn't do otherwise. for example, I'm an aspiring writer and i use ChatGPT to bounce ideas off of and to better organize my thoughts. most ideas it gives me i shoot down because "predicting what comes next" = very bland and normalized outputs from what I've seen. it's better used to gauge what things i need to consider for different ideas. also, my friends are not really interested in writing and wouldn't understand alot of what I'm saying, and that's ok. people can have friends with different interests than them. another thing i use AI for is creating audio. specifically music and voice lines. I'm simply too poor to afford commissioning anyone, and I'm not a very musically inclined person. i spend much of my time studying for military service to improve my AFQT scores or physically training. i do not want the time i spend not doing that basically working more at something that won't further my career or put food on the table. i have to use free streaming sites for every movie and show i want to watch now and i regularly skip meals (which makes physical exercise MUCH harder). nobody is losing money from this because i literally do not have the money to spend. even if there was no AI i still couldn't commission people no matter how cheap it is. if i have an extra 10 dollars to spare then it's going toward food. i typically create those voice lines for AI characters in roblox games i volunteer for, usually they are sci-fi. it wouldn't make sense for our current technology today to be more advanced than 500 years in the future, would it? i create the music for national anthems for fictional factions me and my friends create on minecraft servers. it's pretty hurtful being constantly demonized or thought of as the scum of the earth for just wanting more enjoyment in life. if i have an idea, i can go make it in 2 seconds instead of worrying about that taking up all of the little free time i have.
