This is incredibly impressive and it’s amazing to see how far technology has come when at the beginning of the last century we didn’t even have television. Still, it’s also absolutely terrifying and it makes one wonder how far removed from our humanity we’ll be in another couple decades thanks to a reliance on AI.
I don’t think this experiment is necessarily harming the children more than the education/societal pressure does in general, and it’s producing valuable data, but at the same time, I know good and well that this is something that would be unimaginable in the West and parents would shut it down faster than it could even get started.
