Let's say we have a black box. You don't know what's in there. But you can feed it some artists work and then ask it to replicate it. Not the exact same pictures but style in general. Is it stealing? By your logic - it is. Now you can open the box. There's an actual human artist in there not a soulless AI. If your answer suddenly changed - congrats, you're a hypocrite. And I know (I actually watched the video) that human artist brings a lot of things from his background to his work but that doesn't mean that he didn't 'steal' your work. He just mixed it with his own things. AI just 'steals' more. And it mixes 'stolen' works with one another not with its life experience (it lacks one). Now let's pretend that our artist from the box spent his entire life in it, so he lacks life experience too. Now there's even less differences with AI. What's your answer now?
