AI, automation, and overseas outsourcing are a threat to tech jobs. My job can be automated or outsourced at the moment if my employer decided to pursue that path with my role. I'm currently in trades school to develop skills that are safe from AI, robotics, outsourcing, and automation in a field that has high demand, but a low supply of skilled professionals.
