I allow another human to copy and learn from my property. I dont allow ai to copy and learn from my property. I have full right on deciding how i distribute my property. if i give cookie to my child, it doesnt mean i have to give one for yours too. You cant expect people to support a technological advancement for sake of progression when the advancement serves no one but you. Eugenetics is pretty progressive idea to be honest and you refuse to support it the same way we refuse feeding ai art. Also its pretty embarassing for ai art when its questionable wheter its better than banana on wall or not. Because when your robot dont try extremely hard, it usually end up with something which cant compete with the banana. Yes, for your ai work to be considered art, you need art community to confirm that banana on wall is an art too. Because that banana on the wall is the true benchmark for ai to be considered artist. Your robotic work’s aesthetic value is fully dependent on what we feel about the banana. if banana is bad, ai is bad. if banana good, ai good. Even still, its questionable if ai work can be considered art even if we consider the banana as art Maybe your ai should pray to bananas while some human artists pray to gods. Because we compete with god’s work while your… stuff.. is competing with a banana’s According to some view on aesthetic philosophy, its artworld who decides on artistic value of creations. Yes, maybe i can decide what is art and what is not. Because i am the artworld. You are… you… certainly not from artworld. Because you know, you are not artist. A peasant precisely. And i dont have to deny the natural supremacy of artists within civilization and society just because most of us decide to be unnecessarily humble about it. Maybe they should stop being humble so you will be a little discouraged to claim yourself slightly close to something resembling a fragment of artist. Your work to be considered art or crime is fully dependent on how i feel about it. One day i can wake up, sip my coffe and say “oh what a beautiful day i think i will decide that ai art is indeed an art and not a crime” And 10 minutes after, i can say “well i decide ai art is crime again” See a pattern here ? The value and legal status of your work is a puppet, a toy to play under my hands. You know why ? Because we live in a world, where you can own property and have full power on it. Just like how i become criminal rather than gamer when i pirate games, you will become a criminal rather than an artist. You can keep doing it, no one will arrest you nor call you a criminal, nor an artist. Also let me make one thing clear, if you are disabled and cant make art Im sorry but you cant be artist. We dont need to bring disabled folk here who can do art to prove you wrong, the simple fact is if you cant do art for any reason, you are not doing art. The water is wet. There is nothing abnormal about it, I cant be a mathematician, he cant be an athlete, she cant be a model, you cant be an artist. I wish we could do everything but sadly we cannot. Again the unnecessary humbleness of art makes people believe everyone can access it. NO its as cruel as not being able to do math, not being able to walk, not being able to read… We just make it look so easy and humble you believe you can do it too, I wish you could but it doesnt work unless you have natural talent or spend effort like champ and get there. You are afraid of STEM because they dont make it look easy and they are not humble at all and thats why you wont go with nonsense such as “there are disabled people who cant do physics yet they have right to be called physicists by using ai to solve problems” I really really believe that artists should stop being humble because this world doesnt deserve it. This world claim anything humble “cheap” and effortlessly claimable. if picasso was a head in a jar and precisely described every single detail to assistant, and if assistant never put any bit of their own addition, picasso would still be an artist. if you are using ai like that, yes you are an artist and a madman at the same time because it would be way simpler to do it yourself at that point. This is my take on ai art. Tried to make it a little striking for someone to easily understand my point. my views are not that harsh, im rather mild. I just exaggerated to define my opinions.
