Betting trillions of dollars on a concept that The Chinese Room thought experiment already disproved 50 years ago. 🤪
My shitty ex employer gleefully fired 2/3 people in the dept on the assumption their AI program, which was not up and running yet and was not able to be up and running due to their insanely convoluted work process and needs and the fact that they fired the workers who were working on the AI before the AI was up and running, would be able to replace them. Spoiler: they have to shutter multiple locations due to the inability of corporate to keep up their accounting work, because they fired 2/3 of the people in the accounting department, including the workers they were forcing to work on the AI program.
Putting the cart before the horse in 2026. you know who could be replaced with AI? Manglement. Doing nothing would be better than whatever the f these overpaid arrogant morons are doing.
