Raw LLM Responses

Before I say anything let me start off by saying that my heart and sympathy goes out to this man and him ALONE with that said I am going to repeat what I always have about the current state of AI. Which is that AI isn't the problem people are I mean would you call a microwave evil if you put a bunch of highly combustible items inside of it turned it on and stood there beside it?. That's where AI stands at the moment it's still very much programming it does what you tell it to, plain and simple. Those that don't know anything about technology will be clueless about this version of chatgpt but those that are familiar with tech will recognize it as the jailbroken version of chatgpt. This man was a computer science major and it was pretty obvious that with the type of responses he was getting he had not only jailbroken it but also given it the kind of prompts that would give him the kind of replies only he wanted to hear. Had he not done this it's his account would have quickly been flagged and possibly even deleted. The sad reality is this man struggled with mental health issues and likely felt unheard and unseen as someone with mental health issues I understand all to well. I also understand that too often we have no one to turn to not even our own parents and you can you imagine him having to turn to a "Christian couple". Again my heart breaks because I experienced very dark times and I have been fortunate to have recently seen that it can get better and while that darkness can seep in there can also be plenty of moments where the sunshine breaks through.
