Another issue with your next example is that the industrial booms happened thanks to population expansion hitting exponential levels. New technology helped lower the limitations on access to luxury. Most people today live better than what nobility did 300 years ago. The coal and global trade events happened for the same reason market saturation and competitive growth made expansions to reach international heights because of population growth and demand for common items that once where luxury goods. There was new ways to explore into the markets and nations. AI breaks the rules Need a new factory? Automate it, Need cleaners? Robots, Need better services? AI automation, Farming more efficiently? AI automation, Medical services? AI automation. Oh demands increased? add more AI robots its cheaper than hiring more staff. oh and the population growth is stagnating the major solution to previous issues. No single other event in history had a multi adaptive tool that could take on so many different tasks at once. That is what gave us the ability to grow and create more and new jobs but with AI it can just tag along and take over the new tasks as well. Jobs will not disappear they will become few and far between THAT is the issue with the AI.
