I had a great laugh, actually a few hours ago, when I used chatgpt (which is ironically created by OpenAI) ,memory off, temporary chat on and I simply asked it to pile up the most usual arguments of real artists and ai artists and based on purely logic give me its opinion. The AI itself admitted that tech bros and its own company are wrong and the only argument it considered having some bases is the "it makes it easier for someone without skills" but then adding the caveat "but without proper regulation it will only lead to an influx of sloppy works and no real development of skill"
Am aware it migth give different answers to a different questions and take into account what you personally lean towards. But I really gave no gravity to either opinion whatsoever, just asked it simply "see what x people say online and what x people say online and give me your opinon based on logic" and yeah, the AI itself called the AI slops wrong XD
