I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding of how AI image generation works. It's not fancy tracing or fancy collage making. These models "learn" what they look like and store all of that info in numbers. So when it makes these images, they are essentially unique for the most part. I think the main arguments are the concent argument and the speed in which a machine vs a human can create art. Because if a human were to study a persons art and specializes in that 1 persons art style and were to make other art in that persons art, I'm gonna guess most people wouldn't have an issue with that because of the hundres and thousands of hours of study and time to make that art in that style. But because a machine can learn it fast and produce faster, that is the issue. Human good, machine bad. Also you could argue that what the machine is making is transformative enough to be considered fair use.
