so my theory is: racism is something we naturally evolved into having, for detecting potential predators, aka creatures that aren't like us.
Due to ethics, human morals and societal norms, most people have grown out of that mindset (and some people deliberately grew into it) to get to our now-inclusive society.
The AI doesn't have ethics or morals and therefore remains racist
